These are both so heartwarming. You handled the crossover absolutely perfectly. I loved the characterizations. You wrenched my heart with this:

"A tear ran down his face and he turned his head away not wanting his captors to see it. He didn’t understand what they wanted of him, but he didn’t want to appear weak in front of them.

"He was an airline captain, after all."
